How to start a bakery was created to assist others in their quest for information in the formulation of a bakery business.

During my own search for such information, I found little or no useful topics that would help me to start my own bakery.

Oh there is a lot of information on how to start a business, but very, very little on the Bakery Business.

So I created an ebook which I hope you will find interesting enough and as useful to you as it was to me.

In it I cover the different types of bakery businesses.

This is because some of those businesses require spare cash of a million or two to start. Others require you to have a net worth of 250 thousand to 500 thousand to become franchised.

Yet it is quite possible to get started by buying into a bankrupted bakery business.

There is of course several ways to start a business, even starting out from your home kitchen. So long as you can satisfy your local health departments and business authorities, like the fire department, and local business codes.

Once you have written a business plan, the hard work starts.

Though your business plan is hard work it is the fundermentall instrument in having a successful venture or a failed business and possible a bankruptcy too.

I also have a list of possible equipment that is generally used in a commercial corner store type bakery as well as a possible layout of that equipment so you do not need to have plans drawn.

Building a Solid Mental Foundation

I occasionally get asked about the importance of building a solid mental foundation. My answer is that every element of your game or work will ultimately rest on it. Thus, having a solid mental foundation is vital to you achieving the success you desire.

Just like the building of a house, where the quality of everything you build on top of the foundation will be compromised if it is not properly constructed, the same is true with your mental foundation.

Many golfers spend large sums of money working on perfecting their swing and a good number of basketball players spend similar sums trying to improve their shot. These are both good investments in their game, but if you do not develop an appropriate mental base, your beautiful swing or shot will not amount to much in terms of productivity.

A golfer or basketball player with the proper mindset and an ugly swing or shot will outperform one with an ideal swing or shot, who lacks the proper mental outlook, almost every time. The best swing or shot in the world cannot overcome an improper thought processes.

One key tenet of a strong or winning mind is a process orientation. Most people are result oriented and therefore prefer working on things of a physical nature where the results become evident to themselves and others rather quickly. For example, when you lift weights for the first time you see results almost immediately providing you with instant gratification.

Conversely, when you work on improving your mental game it is a fairly involved process where all the development happens on the inside. I like to say when you work on the inside it will eventually show on the outside, but there is rarely any instant gratification in mind work.

Building a solid mental foundation takes a lot of work and many athletes do not have the desire or dedication to change the way they think. Others simply do not recognize the importance of the mental side of performance.

By the time you reach the top levels of your sport the difference in athletic ability between all of the competitors is minimal. What separates the good from the great is almost always the way they use their minds. Many of the top players I have worked with have told me about guys on their teams who were much better than they are physically, but who are stuck on the bench because of their mindset.

The lower levels of sport are dominated by those with the most physical ability. The highest level of sport are dominated by those with the best mental games. The higher the level the more your mental game matters. I like to say that at the highest level the games become 90% mental, but although things have gotten better, most athletes still make the mistake of spending 90% of their time on the physical components of their game and this eventually causes a lot of regret.

As I often tell my clients, “There are two major self-inflicted pains in life, the short-term pain of self-discipline, and the never-ending pain of regret,” and it’s a good investment to do all you can, not live a life full of regrets.

3 Common Psychological Roadblocks And How To Navigate Them

Imposter Syndrome

This is a condition that unfortunately afflicts many individuals. What happens is, no matter how much education or experience, the person feels unqualified (erroneously) for whatever they are doing. To overcome imposter syndrome, you probably will want to read as much as you can about the condition so you can mitigate it.

Often, it helps just knowing this is a thing that so many people have. If you often find yourself saying, “someone else can do this better than me”, “I’m not an expert”, or “theirs is better” and other things like that, you may have imposter syndrome.

Haters Going to Hate

If you get any type of joy in life, someday someone’s just going to hate you for no reason whatsoever. At least no reason you should be concerned with. But finding out you have a hater can make it hard to move forward.

The truth is, you can learn a lot from your haters. First, tune out anyone who is just full of it and not really contributing anything useful. However, sometimes a hater’s words may end up being valuable. You might want to look inside to ensure you’re not able to do better on something that would be beneficial. Dig deeper. You might find a hater has some serious personal issues that need resolving.

Distractions

Whether it’s internal or external noise, if you have too many distractions it’s hard to focus and be creative. Whether that’s the TV being on, somebody interrupting you or your own anxiety, it depends on your situation. Getting rid of distractions can help a lot.

To do that, identify the distraction and then eliminate it or learn to deal with it better by changing your mindset.

For example, if your spouse is the noise, you can’t really control them. Tell them how you feel, ask for what you want, and set the right boundaries. If they won’t stop whatever it is that’s causing the issue, you can’t make them, so you’ll have to either change your mindset or leave the situation.

If it’s not a person, but electronics, outside noise, or something that’s causing you not to be your most creative, you can eliminate those distractions by changing your location or turning off the electronics. Figure out the problem, then find the solution based on the problem.

When you are feeling blocked, one thing you can do right away to change things is to change the scene. Get outside. Turn on some different sounds like classical music or even white noise to drown it out. Push yourself to try something new. If you can’t come up with ideas in one place, you may come up with them in others.
